What is a Fanzone?
A ZA Fanzone is a GIANT TV SCREEN public viewing area (PVA) for fans to enjoy
the atmosphere of a live sports game with their fellow supporters. These public
viewing areas
are aimed at fans who are not near to stadiums or cannot get tickets to the
big games.
What ZA Fanzone do
ZA Fanzone plan, design, build and operate public viewing areas (in short everything)
in South Africa and its neighbouring countries). We offer
a turnkey solution which includes choosing venues, disaster
management
plans,
getting
the
relevant
licences and permissions, publicising the event and incorporating
the local community and sponsors.
Who we do it for
We organise Public Viewing Areas for anyone wanting an event on this scale including
companies who wish to capitalise on marketing opportunities.
In addition
to our own Fanzones we currenty organise events (called
fanjols) for the Western Cape Department of Arts Culture
and Sport as part of an education programme in preparation
for 2010.
We consider the matches in 2008 and 2009 as spectator education
campaigns leading up to the Confederations Cup and the
World Cup.
