ZA Fanzone hosted three Public Viewing Areas during World Cup 2010 for the City of Cape Town with over 100 000 people attending over the 13 days that the events were held.

In addition to the giant outdoor and indoor screens at Vygieskraal Stadium, OR Tambo Hall and Swartklip Community Centre showing the soccer there were super serious sound and light systems, huge inflatables, vendors selling food and drinks, VIP areas and five-a-side soccer pitches. The entertainment included soccer movies, over 100 musical acts, dancers, karaoke singers, fire jugglers, giant puppets, street artists and even a hypnotist.
The fanjols ensured that local personnel and suppliers were used where possible and thousands of kids from surrounding communities had access to good facilities and personalised attention/coaching from the community workers, volunteers and local soccer coaches.

Despite hosting over  nearly 500 hours of events at the three venues there were no security breaches or serious incidents and  ZA Fanzone are proud to have contributed to the City of Cape Town’s goal of allowing the public to be part of the 2010 World Cup.
